Eight of the people who lost their lives at Senya Beraku in the Central region in last Tuesday’s fatal accident have been buried.

The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) buried the victims in a mass burial at Senya Beraku after a meeting between the NADMO officials and bereaved families of persons who died in the accident.

The rest of the victims would be buried on Friday.

The accident occurred when a driver of a 2000-litre water tanker lost control and drove into residents gathered for Christmas celebration in Senya Beraku.

The Tufuhene for Ewutu-Senya, Neenyi Bentum IV, told Citi News that the elders of the town secured a place for the mass burial.

About 32 others are currently on admission at the Winneba Government Hospital seeking medical treatment.
