For that, I apologize,&#8221; the No. 4 Red Bull Toyota driver, 31, writes. &#8220;It was in no way my intention to offend any mother who chooses to breastfeed her child, or, for that matter, anyone who supports breast feeding children.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>He <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/kaseykahne\/status\/152172050188996610\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">also apologized<\/a> to the Twitter user whom he called a &#8220;dumb b\u2013,&#8221; Deana P., saying he was &#8220;out of line.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Although he originally used the hash-tag &#8220;#nasty&#8221; to describe his supermarket run-in, Kahne says he respects &#8220;the mother&#8217;s right to feed her child whenever and wherever she pleases.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But Kahne \u2013 who originally <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/kaseykahne\/status\/151735215755247616\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">told his Twitter<\/a> following he &#8220;took a second look because I was obviously seeing things&#8221; \u2013 didn&#8217;t completely take back his words.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In all honestly, I was surprised by what I saw in a grocery store. I shared that reaction with my fans on Twitter,&#8221; he says. &#8220;It obviously wasn&#8217;t the correct approach, and, after reading your feedback, I now have a better understanding of why my posts upset some of you.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He adds: &#8220;My comments were not directed at the mother&#8217;s right to breastfeed.
