{"id":23177,"date":"2011-12-28T23:35:00","date_gmt":"2011-12-28T23:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/12\/god-save-us-from-terrorism\/"},"modified":"2011-12-28T23:35:00","modified_gmt":"2011-12-28T23:35:00","slug":"god-save-us-from-terrorism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/12\/28\/god-save-us-from-terrorism\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018God save us from terrorism\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p><span>The Christians talked tough again yesterday over the attacks on churches and their members by suspected Islamic fundamentalists.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cProtect yourselves,\u201d Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) President Ayo Oritsejafor charged them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>He spoke at the premises of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Madalla, Niger State, during his visit to the Church that was bombed on Christmas Day by suspected Boko Haram suicide bombers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Yesterday in Madalla, Pastor Oritsejafor warned against a recurrence of attacks on churches.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>He said: \u201cWe want to pray to God that this will be the last, this is our prayer, and this is our desire. God should save us from all forms of terrorism.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Oritsejafor was accompanied by CAN executive members to the church where scores were murdered after the Mass of Nativity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Oritsejafor said: \u201cAs CAN President, I will not encourage revenge, but I will ask all Christians to protect themselves anyway they can. Why should anybody come and kill you in your house, protect yourself, protect your place of worship, protect your property.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>He described the bombing as \u201cpure madness\u201d adding, \u201cnormal people don\u2019t behave like this, even animals have value for each other, so we condemn it completely, it\u2019s not normal.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Parish Priest of the church, Rev. Fr.
