{"id":22053,"date":"2011-12-27T08:19:28","date_gmt":"2011-12-27T08:19:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/12\/senegal-coaching-crisis-resolved\/"},"modified":"2011-12-27T08:19:28","modified_gmt":"2011-12-27T08:19:28","slug":"senegal-coaching-crisis-resolved","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/12\/27\/senegal-coaching-crisis-resolved\/","title":{"rendered":"Senegal coaching crisis resolved"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"66.707471264368\">\n<div readability=\"65.188081936685\"><span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/news.bbcimg.co.uk\/media\/images\/57212000\/jpg\/_57212597_amara.jpg\" width=\"466\" height=\"300\" alt=\"Senegal coach Amara Traore\" \/> Traore is now expected to sign a new Teranga Lions deal imminently<\/span> <\/p>\n<p>The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) and the sports ministry have resolved a damaging dispute that threatened the country&#8217;s preparations for next month&#8217;s Africa Cup of Nations.<\/p>\n<p>The FSF had broken off all contact with the ministry in a row over national team coach Amara Traore&#8217;s new contract.<\/p>\n<p>As a result the publication of the squad for the Nations Cup was delayed and two friendlies cancelled.<\/p>\n<p>The row has now been put to bed after the two parties met over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The misunderstanding is over following a meeting between the two sides on Friday,&#8221; FSF spokeswoman Ndeye Dome Thiouf said.<\/p>\n<p>Traore is now expected to sign a new deal imminently.<\/p>\n<p>Senegal&#8217;s squad for the tournament for Gabon and Equatorial Guinea is expected to be released this week.<\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Equatorial Guinea<\/li>\n<li>Libya<\/li>\n<li>Senegal<\/li>\n<li>Zambia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>Traore&#8217;s deal <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/sport1\/hi\/football\/16254591.stm\">expired on 15 December<\/a> and he had been holding out for an improved contract after overseeing <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/sport1\/hi\/football\/africa\/8613171.stm\">a smooth qualification campaign<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But the requested increase in his salary was turned down by the sports ministry which prompted the FSF to protest.<\/p>\n<p>There was also a dispute between the FSF and the government over the amount of money set aside to fund Senegal&#8217;s campaign in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.<\/p>\n<p>The cancelled friendly matches were due to be against Sudan and Tunisia, which will have a knock-on effect on their preparations for the Nations Cup if they are not rearranged.<\/p>\n<p>Senegal are in Group A of the tournament, alongside co-hosts Equatorial Guinea, <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/sport1\/hi\/football\/16303119.stm\">who have their own coaching problems<\/a>, plus Zambia and Libya.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div readability=\"38.764302059497\">\n<div readability=\"5.6954545454545\">\n<p>FROM OTHER SPORT SITES<\/p>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/c.moreover.com\/click\/here.pl?z5665351728&#038;z=1250248769\">Yahoo!
