I\u2019ve been\u00a0 so good for such a long time I just want to do something naughty. I want to do as much as I can. I just want to fill every minute of every day.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Mrs Dynevor, who plays Sally Webster, was diagnosed with cancer after a Coronation Street plotline \u2013 in which her character developed the disease \u2013 inspired her to check her own breasts. <br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In November last year she began a gruelling course of chemotherapy which led to her losing her hair.<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/i\/pix\/2011\/12\/27\/article-2078891-09656516000005DC-196_306x536.jpg\" width=\"306\" height=\"536\" alt=\"Cancer fight: Sally had months of therapy\" class=\"blkBorder\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Cancer fight: Sally had months of therapy<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span>\u2018I\u2019ve learnt that whatever happens to<br \/>\nus, it\u2019s just life\u2019s path,\u2019 she said. \u2018So many people go through breast<br \/>\ncancer. I\u2019m not the only one, there are thousands. But it gave me great<br \/>\ncomfort to talk to other women going through the same thing.\u2019 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The mother-of-three confessed that she now wanted to try a backpacking holiday or working in New York as a waitress.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>She told Woman magazine: \u2018I was talking to some of the Corrie girls and we all said 50 is the new 40, isn\u2019t it? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u2018Fifty-year-olds now aren\u2019t dressing like my mother\u2019s generation did. I still want to be wearing a leather jacket and skinny jeans. Being 50 is just a number and it\u2019s about how you feel in your head. I\u2019m sure there are exciting times to come.\u2019 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Mrs Dynevor, who was previously known as Sally Whittaker,\u00a0has said that the ITV soap could potentially have saved her life because it was only the storyline that caused her to check herself and find a lump. <br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The early diagnosis gave her a better chance at beating the disease.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u2018If I had not been researching this storyline, I may not have discovered the lump in my breast and had it looked at so quickly,\u2019 she said in a interview. <br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u2018I had never properly checked my breast before because I thought this wasn\u2019t going to happen to me.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Mrs Dynevor said she had ignored a\u00a0 lump she had felt while on holiday\u00a0 earlier last year, but was inspired by her scenes to have it checked by a nurse. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The nurse immediately booked her a hospital appointment and she was diagnosed with a 1.8cm grade one tumour. The tests also revealed that the diseased cells had spread to six of the lymph nodes under one arm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The actress, who is married to scriptwriter Tim Dynevor with whom she has three children \u2013 Sam, 14, and daughters Phoebe, 16, and Hattie, eight \u2013 then underwent months of chemotherapy, losing much of her hair.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span> She\u00a0 continued to play her character Sally, who was facing a similar\u00a0 situation in the soap. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Mrs Dynevor, who has starred in Coronation Street for 25 years, insisted she was happy to keep working on the show.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span> \u2018I\u2019ve had so many good stories.
