It\u2019ll be a merrier Christmas than ever before for Kendra Wilkinson<\/a><\/strong> and Hank Baskett<\/strong>: after over two years of marriage<\/a>, they\u2019ll spend the holiday in their own house with son Hank IV<\/strong>, 2.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis holiday season is so special to us because this will be our first Christmas as a family in our first home together,\u201d Wilkinson tells PEOPLE while attending Project Angel Food<\/a>\u2018s Divine Design gala in Beverly Hills.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe haven\u2019t had our own house before, so this will be the first time we get to spend the holiday season as a family in our brand new home. That\u2019s the best thing ever,\u201d the reality star, 26, explains.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re so appreciative, so thankful and so blessed to be able to celebrate Christmas in our beautiful home with our beautiful family<\/a>.\u201d

Wilkinson also revealed that it\u2019s the first time she\u2019s put her jet-setting impulses aside to enjoy the first holiday season that her son will be actively engaged in.<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore I was being a little selfish,\u201d she admits. \u201cI was saying, \u2018Forget Christmas \u2014 let\u2019s go to Hawaii. Let\u2019s go to the beach<\/a>. Let\u2019s do something crazy, something non-traditional.\u2019 But then I woke up and I realized that this is going to be baby Hank<\/a>\u2018s first year to really know what\u2019s going on. It\u2019s not really about me anymore \u2014 it\u2019s about him now.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple is eager to include some long-standing holiday traditions: Kendra says for her it wouldn\u2019t be Christmas without \u201ca Douglas fir tree \u2014 that\u2019s the number one tradition of my family. Last year we just had a little Charlie Brown tree<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her husband is eager to introduce some first-time twists of their own.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe did have the family traditions growing up, but she said it best the other day: \u2018Let\u2019s start our own,\u2019\u201d says Baskett, 29. \u201cWe\u2019re going to build on those right now. We\u2019ll go get the tree as a family \u2014 Hank was out there helping us pick out a tree<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s exciting because what\u2019s the tradition? We don\u2019t know yet. We\u2019re making our traditions,\u201d he adds. \u201cThis is our first real Christmas and we\u2019re starting those traditions now.\u201d<\/p>\n
