Holders Real Madrid and Barcelona are in line to meet in the quarter-finals of the Spanish Copa del Rey, if both can win their next round ties, following Friday’s draw.<\/p>\n

After both giants brushed aside third-tier opposition in the last 32 in midweek, the draw for the last 16 pitted Madrid against Malaga, and Barcelona against Osasuna.<\/p>\n

If they come through these two-legged ties, which will be played in early January, then there will be another two-legged Clasico to look forward to later next month.<\/p>\n

The draw has been made all the way through to the semi-finals, with Valencia, Sevilla, Levante and second division Alcorcon all in the same half of the draw as the two juggernauts.<\/p>\n

Real and Barcelona met in the final of last year’s competition, with a Cristiano Ronaldo header in extra-time enough to win it for Jose Mourinho’s side, handing him his first trophy since moving to Spain.<\/p>\n

That meeting was one of seven Clasicos played in 2011, and was the only one in which Madrid emerged victorious.<\/p>\n

Barcelona won over two legs in the Champions League semi-final and in the Supercup, and they also won one and drew one from two visits to the Bernabeu on league duty.<\/p>\n
