Lambert has experienced the frustration of recruiting players in League One and the Championship and says he expects the new year transfer market to play out in a similar fashion in the Premier League.<\/p>\n
“You still have the same problems. It’s hard during the January window because nobody wants to sell their better players and price inflation goes really high,” he said.<\/p>\n
“So you end up with the same problems as we had in League One.”<\/p>\n
The Canaries go into the festive schedule sitting in the top half of the Premier League table and their next two matches are at home – against Tottenham on 27 December and Fulham on 31 December.<\/p>\n
Lambert has a simple plan for maintaining their form over the second half of the season.<\/p>\n
“You try and win as many games as you can. It’s not rocket science,” he said.<\/p>\n
“I’ve never tried to predict anything that’s going to happen. I’m a realist and we’ll do everything we can to stay in this league.<\/p>\n
