Swaziland\u2019s most supported side Manzini Wanderers rounded off the year in great style on Thursday night, hammering rookies Red Lions 5-0 in a one-sided MTN league clash at Mavuso Sports Centre.<\/span><\/p>\nThe resounding victory took the \u2018Weslians\u2019 to second spot on the log, just a point behind log leaders Royal Leopard who have a game in hand. That match is pending clash against Mbabane Highlanders.<\/p>\n
Opening the scoring was defender Lwazi \u2018Shana\u2019 Maziya, who headed in a well taken Timothy Mathonsi corner kick in the 20th minute.<\/p>\n
Then on-loan Jomo Cosmos striker, Nkululeko Dlamini, made it 2-0 after outpacing the defenders before slicing the ball past the advancing Red Lions \u2018keeper Mxolisi Dlamini in the 51st minute.<\/p>\n
To rub salt into the wound, Red Lions defender Siphilile Sihlongonyane scored into his own net two minutes later, while trying to clear a Nkululeko cross.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The \u2018Weslians\u2019 were not done as Timothy Mathonsi scored the first of his two goals in the 56th minute, taking a pass from Xolani \u2018Papi\u2019 Sikhondze before completing his brace in the 60th with a powerful low shot into the far corner of the net.<\/p>\n
In the first game at Mavuso Sports Centre, Green Mamba and Young Buffaloes shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.<\/p>\n
Mamba, the FixedFone Cup finalists, had taken the lead through Muntu Mamba in the 42nd minute only for former Sihlangu midfielder, Manqoba \u2018Dunga\u2019 Kunene, to level with 14 minutes to go.<\/p>\n
