The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said it has recruited 11,000 ad hoc staff \u00a0to conduct the Adamawa governorship election slated for Jan.14, 2012.<\/p>\n

The State Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC, Malam Kassim Gaidam, disclosed this in Yola on Thursday. According to him, non-sensitive election materials were already in place.<\/p>\n

\u201cAhead of\u00a0 the Jan.14, 2012 governorship election in the state, \u00a0not less than \u00a011,000 ad hoc staff \u00a0have been recruited and trained by the commission and all necessary non-sensitive voting materials are in place.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gaidam appealed to the five political parties participating in the election to adhere to the rules and regulations, especially during campaign rallies.<\/p>\n

He however, assured the people of the commission\u2019s readiness to conduct free and transparent election in the state. NAN<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
