\nIn spite of the painful 1-0 loss suffered in the hands of the Moroccan National U-23 team, Nigeria’s Dream Team V coach, Austin Eguavoen is still confident that his boys would bounce back. He said the team will still make it from the group and qualify for the semifinals of the ongoing CAF U-23 championship holding in Morocco. The group comprises of host Morocco, Senegal, Nigeria and Algeria.<\/p>\n
The Nigerian side is in the competition to gun for a place at next year’s Olympics.<\/p>\n
The Dream team V lost one nil to a 27th minute penalty by Barrada Abdelaziz after Emmanuel Anyanwu rough tackled Bidaoui Soufiane. “We knew from the onset that it was going to be a difficult game against the host nation.<\/p>\n
We were unlucky but that’s football for you. All we have to do now is put this game behind us and begin to prepare for the games ahead. I have to start working on the psychology of my players; to put them in the right frame of mind for the game against Senegal. But one thing I am confident about is that we will pick a ticket for the Olympics”<\/p>\n
On officiating of the game, Eguavoen said:”I am not a coach that complains about officiating, but I think the referee gave his best in the game.”<\/p>\n
