National U-23 coach Austin Eguavoen is still confident that his team will bounce back from its 1-0 defeat in the hands of host Morocco to make the semi-finals of the ongoing CAF U-23 Championship holding in Morocco.<\/p>\n
The Dream Team V lost to a 27th minute penalty by Barrada Abdelaziz after Emmanuel Anyanwu was judged to have rough tackled Morocco’s Bidaoui Soufiane in the Olympic Eagles vital area.<\/p>\n
“We knew from the onset that it was going to be a difficult game against the host nation. We were unlucky but that’s football for you. All we have to do now is put this game behind us and begin to prepare for the games ahead,” said Eguavoen.<\/p>\n
He added: “I have to start working on the psychology of my players; to put them in the right frame of mind for the game against Senegal. But one thing am confident about is that we will pick a ticket for the Olympics.”<\/p>\n
On his reaction to the officiating of the game, Eguavoen said: “I am not a coach that complains about officiating, but I think the referee gave his best in the game.”<\/p>\n
Nigeria’s next plays Senegal on Tuesday; in a must win encounter after the Senegalese lost one nil to Algeria.<\/p>\n
