Borrusia Dortmund were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Kaiserslautern and missed out on an opportunity to spend some time at the top of the Bundesliga standings.<\/p>\n
Shinji Kagawa was first on the score sheet to put the hosts ahead in the 26th minute, but Olcay Sahan equalized to bring the score to 1 \u2013 1 for Kaiserslautern in the 60th minute.<\/p>\n
Dortmund are now equal on points with Schalke (31 points) but are placed second on the standings courtesy of a better goal difference.<\/p>\n
Lautern were the first to threaten the host with Dorge Kouemaha given an opening but his shot was blocked by a defender inside the first five minute. That was after Pierre De Wit also got in a strike in the 1st minute, it missed the target, however.<\/p>\n
In the 11th minute, Florian Dick\u2019s promising attempt was well dealt with by Weidenfeller.<\/p>\n
In the 27th minute, Kevin Gro\u00dfkreutz architected Shinji Kagawa for Dortmund\u2019s opening. This was BVB\u2019s first real chance of the game and they made good use of it.<\/p>\n
After this goal, Dortmund looked live again and created waves of scoring opportunities but were all squandered.<\/p>\n
Just before half-time, Kouemaha sent a firing alert to the Dortmund defence but it went off target.<\/p>\n
At half-time the home side led 1-0.<\/p>\n
In the second half Dortmund looked blazing and created at least three chances inside the first five minutes of the second half, but all resulted in nothing.\u2019<\/p>\n
Kaiserslautern took the stage from that moment, with Sahan breaking free at Signal Iduna Park. But his strike went wide off the post in the 53rd minute.<\/p>\n
In the 60th minute, Olcay Sahan equalized to bring the score to 1 \u2013 1 for Lautern.<\/p>\n
With time against the home team, Jurgen Klopp brought in wonder kid, Mario Gotze as a second half substitute. Gotze was brought in for Blaszczykowski.<\/p>\n
Gotze did manage to sprinkle some life into the Dortmund game and went close to scoring when his effort came off the woodwork in the 83rd minute.<\/p>\n
