A young Johannesburg advocate who was hit and dragged by a taxi in Lonehill two months ago has been discharged from hospital, her sister said on social networking site Facebook.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe was very eager to be back with her family and fianc\u00e9 and her doctors were more than happy to discharge her,\u201d Julia McCusker said on a support group wall at the weekend.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne reason for this is that my mom is a very experienced nursing sister and is more than capable of taking care of Kim at home.\u201d<\/p>\n
McCusker was discharged from Fourways Life hospital on Thursday.<\/p>\n
She was hit by Matome Thamage’s minibus taxi in September after it crashed into the vehicle she and her fianc\u00e9, Lourens Grobler, were travelling in.<\/p>\n
Thamage has appeared in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court facing a charge of attempted murder. He claimed in court he was being assaulted by Grobler and merely tried to avoid the attack when he rammed into McCusker.<\/p>\n
Grobler also appeared in court on an assault charge last month and had his case postponed to December 8. – Sapa<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
