Eco Bank Gambia limited Wednesday donated a computer set with printer to the Gambia Police Force Prosecution Unit at a presentation ceremony held at Police Headquarters in Banjul.
Speaking at the occasion, Lamin Sanyang, ECO Bank head of Operations and Technology said the police have been good partners to ECO Bank. “We feel it is incumbent upon us to donate to the Gambia Police Force, [and] based on that background we decided to donate to the police and we expect to do more in future,” he added.
Edward Sambou, the deputy inspector general of Police said the Gambia Police Force is improving through such donations. He expressed appreciation to ECO Bank for the gesture, adding that it came at the right time.
DIG Sambou opined that if businesses are successful in the country today, it is all because of the peace and stability which the police and other security units are playing a crucial role both day and night.
He on behalf of the GPF thanked the bank for the move and urged other institutions to emulate them.
