TEAMtalk : Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is confident his recovery from injury is on track as he targets a return to action in January.
The 19-year-old has been out of action all season after aggravating an ankle injury he originally picked up on international duty in the summer.
Wilshere, who underwent surgery on the problem in September, is happy with the progress of his rehabilitation and is hopeful of returning to the fold next month.
“It’s coming along well, I’m working hard in the gym every day and feel I’m in good hands at Arsenal,” said Wilshere. “We’ve had a few injured at Arsenal in recent years, like Aaron Ramsey but they are helping me through it.
“I can’t put a specific date on it, but some time in January I’m hoping for if all goes well.”
