Hearts have struggled without Asante
Hearts midfielder Uriah Asante is racing to be fit in time for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Medeama in Accra.
The 19-year-old has recovered from a groin injury he sustained during the Premier League derby against arch-rivals Asante Kotoko on 20 November.
It was initially feared he will be out for two months, but the ex-Pure Joy enforcer has returned to training.
In his absence Hearts have picked only four points from a possible nine in games against All Stars, Aduana Stars and Liberty.
Sources say Hearts coach Nebojsa Vucicevic is keen to have the influential midfielder back for their difficult home game.
