Newly-appointed Berekum Arsenal coach John Eshun is eyeing a perfect start in his reign at the club when AshantiGold visit on Sunday.

The ex-Ghana captain replaced Anthony Baffour Nana Arwuah on Monday after the latter quit his post last month.

Eshun will be without assistant coach Johnson Smith who abandoned the ship on Monday.

Eshun however remains confident of beginning his job on a blissful note.

“Our position in the league at the moment is precarious and therefore we need to do whatever it takes to improve and stay afloat,” Eshun said.

“We need to start believing and the only way to do that is to start off with a win against AshGold on Sunday and then we take it from there.”

Both clubs are flirting with relegation with the visitors just two points above Arsenal on the Premier League table.
