Emmanuel Frimpong has said there are positives to be taken from Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League defeat to Olympiacos.

Arsenal lost 3-1 to the Greek side on Tuesday in their final Group F game but still qualified top of the pool to the last 16.

Frimpong told Arsenal.com that coach Arsene Wenger was right to give the youngsters some experience, especially away in Greece.

“It was a great atmosphere and it was lovely to be involved,” Frimpong said.

“If the likes of me, Francis Coquelin and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain can show we can play here, we can play anywhere.

“I know we lost the game but we have to take positives from it.

“People that haven’t been getting a lot of games this season have been getting them.

“It was a tough game. To be fair to Olympiacos I thought they played really well.”
