Fresh off their first win under coach Delio Rossi, Fiorentina will travel to the San Siro to take on Inter on Saturday evening in a match the Nerazzurri need to win.

Following their home loss to Udinese last Saturday evening, Claudio Ranieri now finds his side sitting just four points above the drop zone, a position they are unaccustomed to.

However, it hasn’t been all peachy for their next adversaries too, as they have just managed to grab the final slot in the top half of the table, while they needed the aid of three sending offs to help secure a win over Roma on Sunday.

It will be the first ever Serie A match in which Javier Zanetti will be serving a suspension, following his double yellow against the Friulani outfit. Meanwhile, Wesley Sneijder will continue to sit on the sidelines but they could be boosted with the return of Diego Forlan and Douglas Maicon.

For the Viola, Alessio Cerci and Houssine Kharja are expected to be in full fitness for the match.

Stefan Jovetic is expected to start as a second striker after his boss confirmed his joy in seeing the player act as a decisive role in that position.

With Fiorentina on a high from their previous weekend’s encounter they will be looking to pounce on a fragile Inter, who will be eager to vent their frustration of the weekend’s past.

The match will kick-off at 21h45 on Saturday evening at the Stadio Guiseppe Meazza, with Palermo-Cesena the other match to kick-off at that time.
