Ghana’s hip life music duo Double revealed in an interview that they are aware of the fact that some industry players are trying hard to sit on their break through as a group.
The music group whose hit single ‘Walai Talai’ came out this year and within the same year has been on the play list of many if not all DJs, radio presenters, pubs, etc. Information reaching them discloses that their fellow musician was asked about them in another man’s country and the artiste said the group Double does not exist, ‘I mean how can an artiste do that to a fellow artiste’, Double lamented.
In addition Double made up of Paa Kwesi and Nana Yaw stressed, ‘as if that artiste’s sabotage was not enough, another big boy in the music business in Ghana openly attacked Visat 1 television programme One Show when our song was played for the hosts to dance to with their studio audience’ in a live telecast.
‘Our sources say the man asked the hosts of the show why he used our song and not any other song, so the question is what has Double caused to have such strong enemies in the music business with only a year of breakthrough’ the boys noted.
To show their signs of unhappiness for all the sabotages going on in the game, Double pleaded that their group is only a year old but thanks to God their songs are going places and if they have stepped on any toes while growing up, they apologize and hope to check the toes they walk with next time but if any event promoter wants to work with them, they are opened plus as usual they will the best in performance, Double’s closing remarks in the interview.
Currently the group has another fast growing single for all their fans this xmas called ‘Eii Mana’ and fans can check their local online operator for all downloads but thank God for their them alives together with their fans, DJs, presenters they could not have done it without you, Double will always be grateful.
