The draw for next year’s African Cup of Nations will come off in Malabo, capital city of one of the host countries Equatorial Guinea on October 29, 2011.

Information gathered by DAILY GUIDE SPORTS indicates that Ghana and Zambia are likely to be seeded alongside hosts Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.

This means that Ghana could come face to face with Cote d’Ivoire, one of Africa’s fearsome sides, Morocco, Guinea, Angola or Mali.

By virtue of the Back Stars’ runner up feat at the last Nations Cup in Angola and Zambia’s recent performance and the absence of big guns Egypt, Nigeria, Cameroon and South Africa, the two teams get the seeding right.

Gabon, Equatorial Guinea (co-hosts), Niger, Angola, Botswana, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea, Mali, Senegal, Tunisia, Zambia, Burkina Faso, Morocco, Libya and Sudan are the 16 teams that have qualified for next year’s CAN competition.
