Mogadishu — A distinguished delegation led by the Djiboutian president Ismail Omar Guelleh arrived at war decimated Mogadishu to see the famine affected Somalis at IDPs.
Somalis leader Sheikh Sheikh Ahmed, his prime minister Abdiweli Mohamed Ali and the parliament speaker Sharif Hassan Sheikh Adam have together warmly welcomed their brother Guelleh, the leader of Djibouti at Mogadishu’s Aden Ade International Airport.
The Djibouti president and Somalia’s top leaders have visited a newly established refugee camp called Badbado where thousands of drought displaced people relocated by the Somali government.
The officials also reached at Benadir Hospital in Mogadishu where a lot of malnourished children and diarrhea victims are being treated.
During their tout to those areas, the Djibouti president expressed a deep concern about the situation of famine stricken Somalis in the hospital and IDPs camp as his face covered with sadness and gloomy.
He said the Djibouti government is with the help of their brothers and sisters in drought hit horn of African nation.
For his part, the Somali leader Ahmed gave briefing about the current drought and famine situation the delegation from Djibouti.
And he called Djibouti and other world countries to act quickly to help the starving people in Somalia.
