The UN refugee agency has increased its original humanitarian aid appeal by 8.6 million dollars to look into the Somali emergency and the influx of refugees in Kenya and Ethiopia.
UNHCR says the required funds now stands at 144.9 million dollars from the original appeal of 136.3 million dollars issued in early July.
The money will be going towards addressing the crisis in Somalia as well as looking into the refugee influx in Kenya and Ethiopia. So far the humanitarian agency has only received 59 million dollars.
