    Luanda — At least 50 primary level schools in the province of Luanda will integrate the cultural project launched on Thursday in the municipality of Samba by the provincial governor of Luanda, José Maria dos Santos.

    The project aims to encourage reading habits among children and enhance children’s music, brings a new dimension in terms of material acquisition with the subsidization of the values of books and records by the Provincial Government of Luanda (GPL).

    According to the promoter of the programme, Sonia Afonso, about 3,000 children were able to have contact for the first time with writers and books and serve to encourage parents to buy books.

    The promoter said that one of the biggest achievements so far was the participation of Portuguese individuals that intended to offer a container of children’s books that will serve to create a library in a school.
