Huambo — Angolan Women’s Organisation (OMA) members donated Thursday to Huambo General Hospital, 100 units of blood, aimed at overcoming difficulties of the institution.
The collection of blood counted on the participation of 100 OMA militants, whose action is part of the celebration programme for Africa Women’s Day, to be marked on 31 July.
The provincial secretary of OMA’s executive secretariat in Huambo, Bibiana Nandombua, said that the deed aimed at contributing to the resolution of problems at the hospital unit in assisting the patients.
On the other hand, the official with the Huambo General Hospital, Amélia dos Santos Ventura, stated that the deed organised by the group of militants from OMA will reduce difficulties faced by various health units of that region.
According to the official, the quantity of blood donated will decrease difficulties in the paediatric areas, delivery ward and operation blocks.
