A parliamentary candidate for the Asante Akim South constituency, Lawyer Kwaku Asante Boateng, has donated a number of street bulbs to communities in the constituencies which are connected to the national electricity grid.
Those communities without electricity were supplied with exercise books and pens.
The donations were estimated to cost GH ¢20.000.
The parliamentary aspirant also donated 400 bags of cement, at the cost of over GH ¢6,000, to the Asankare Church of Pentecost, where he attended his thanksgiving service.
The donations were made during a thanksgiving tour of the 120 communities in the constituency.
Mr. Asante Boateng urged followers of political parties in the constituency to bury their differences and come together as one family, with the same ideology, and forge ahead for development.
According to him, the welfare of the constituency was paramount in improving the lives of the people, and for that matter, stressed the need to desist from partisanship when it came to development.
The parliamentary-hopeful urged the people to vote for a developmental-oriented person during the elections.
