Nationwide side Gusii Shabana have recruited five players to strengthen the side ahead of the second leg starting this weekend.

Coach Rashid Omar said they have released four players due to under performance during the first leg. The new signings include defenders-Kevin Lemar and Dan Ochieng from Sony Youth and Richard Ouma from Nationwide rivals Homegrown. The club has also recruited another Homegrown midfielder Collins Atudo and striker Jared Ochieng from Sony.

Shabana will resume the second leg this Sunday when they take on Agro Chemicals at Gusii Stadium. Next week, Shabana travel to Nairobi to face Administration Police. The team finished 10th in the league with 18 points but Omar and club sponsor Don Bosco Gichana promised they will strive to finish in the top two in order to make the cut for top flight Kenya Premier League (KPL). Gichana said: “The team is inexperienced but we have added some experienced players and we are targeting to finish in the top two position.”
