Earlier on Thursday Goal.com revealed how the Italian club were waiting to sell Wesley Sneijder to Manchester United, before upping their interest in the 27-year-old Argentina forward.
Tevez has been strongly linked with a move to Inter after a deal to head back to Corinthians collapsed, and Branca admitted there was some interaction between them.
“There was one meeting and it was casual and very nice, it happened on a beach in Sardinia,” Branca told Il Corriere dello Sport.
However, Branca was quick to deflect future transfer questions, and turned the focus on new signing Jonathan, who was unveiled to the press.
“The choice to bring in Jonathan shows Inter’s desire to always have a competitive squad,” said Branca.

Jonathan joined from Santos and is tipped as being an alternative to Maicon.
