THE U-19 rugby national team coach Brian Makalama has cautioned his boys against conceding unnecessary penalties in today’s continental championship against Namibia.

The match also serves as a qualifier for the 2012 junior World Cup.

The Baby Cranes, that lost their opening game 16-8 to Zimbabwe on Saturday, will bank on scrum half Davis Kiwalabye, king pin Justin Kimono and Jasper Ochen.

“The coach has warned the boys about the dangers of getting yellow cards and cited the example of the game against Zimbabwe,” leader of delegation Ronnie Mutebi stated.

The official added, “we lost because Kimono and Magomu( Ivan) were sin binned.”

“We took charge of the game right from the beginning but lost just because the key players were sent off for ten minutes.”

Mutebi observed that since the team lost by a small margin against the more exposed Zimbabweans, the boys need to to win the remaining games.

The Ugandans will keep their World Cup qualification hopes alive if they win with a big margin and Zimbabwe fall to Namibia.
