Fiorentina are in locked in talks to land Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani.
The Italy international will have to take a pay-cut to make the move happen, however.
According to the latest reports from the Italian media, Tuesday will see a decisive meeting between Fiorentina and Liverpool.
He is expected to arrive on loan with an option to buy for €11m at the end of the season.
The major sticking point remains the contract, as Fiorentina would need Aquilani to cut at least €1m off his salary.
The former Roma man currently earns €3m per season, which is far beyond the average salary at the Stadio Franchi.
