Manchester City are believed to be unwilling to allow Carlos Tevez join another club in Europe on the same terms they were prepared to accept when negotiating his proposed transfer to Corinthians.

The Argentine requested a move from Eastlands to a South American club, in order to be closer to his family in Buenos Aires.

But a reported £40 million deal with Corinthians fell through and the transfer window in Brazil is now shut, with the striker now being linked with possible moves to Inter, Juventus or Real Madrid.

However, The Mirror claims that City have told the player’s representatives that they will not be interested in selling their skipper for the same price that they had negotiated with the Brazilian outfit, as he would not now be moving to South America.

Accordingly it is thought that any European club wishing to acquire the services of Tevez would now have to stump up the original £50m asking price.
