Three men were arrested in Nakuru yesterday for allegedly attempting to kill a farmer at Kirembera Farm in Kirengero. Michael Bosire, Mohammed Lemonti and Jared Nyakundi are said to have ambushed Evans Nyakundi at his farm at about 9pm on Monday.
Armed with crude weapons including pangas and rungus, they threated to kill Nyakundi without demanding for anything. A struggle ensued between the suspects and the owner of the farm. Nakuru police boss Johnston Ipara said they injured him on the legs, forehead and arms.
