The National Taxpayers Association says Sh8,966,255 in the Gichugu constituency CDF kitty cannot be accounted for. The NTA national coordinator Davis Adieno said out of 80 projects in the constituency, 44 have been done well and completed while 12 projects are badly done. Adieno however said although the money cannot be accounted for, the constituency is rated the best in Kirinyaga County in CDF management.
Adieno said claims that the youths fund has also been misused should be probed. He said anyone found to have misused the funds must be dealt with sternly. Adieno urged the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission to act very fast on the CDF cases saying the MPs who have misappropriated the funds must face justice.
