Jerome Boateng is pleased with Bayern Munich‘s perseverance during the German side’s transfer negotiations with Manchester City.

Bayern announced they had agreed a deal with Manchester City for the transfer on Thursday, after the 22-year-old failed to make an impact at Eastlands following a string of injuries.

Boateng is thankful for Bayern’s persistent efforts to land him after some wrangling over the fee which remains undisclosed.

Speaking to FCB.tv, Boateng said: “Now I’m super happy that the tug of war finally came to an end and I am glad that the club did not give up despite the difficult negotiations.”

The Germany defender is expected to sign a four-year deal once he completes his medical with the Bundesliga outfit.
