Angola: Kabuscorp With Tough Task At Championship’s 17th Round

15 July 2011

Luanda — Kabuscorp do Palanca will travel to Lunda Norte Province to face the local Sagrada Esperança team on Saturday, for the 17th round of the senior males first division football championship.

This round opens on Friday with the encounter between Benfica de Luanda and 1º de Maio de Benguela, in Luanda’s Coqueiros Stadium.

Kabuscorp lead the competition with 33 points, five more than Petro de Luanda in the second position.

Although Kabuscorp’s coach, the Ukrainian Viktor Bondarenko, does not see his team as favourite for the title, he intends to pile up points and wait for the final calculations.

Meanwhile, Sagrada Esperança da Lunda Norte, with 18 points, are in a dangerous situation (antepenultimate position) and will try to do better than they did in the first round, in which the result was a one-one draw.
