NIC Bank’s winning streak in the Left Foot Amateur League came to a halt after they were forced to a 1-1 draw by fellow bankers National Bank in an entertaining match played at High ridge Primary School ground. NIC, who last weekend beat NPC Parklands by a solitary goal, found the going rather tough against National Bank and needed a late goal to salvage the draw. In the weekend’s highlight, Strath FC collected maximum points after a 40th minute goal from Noah Oduwo ended Total Touch Cargo’s resistance for a one-nil victory. It was Strath FC’s fourth victory in a row. In other matches, Petra Boys succumbed 0-2 to NPC Parklands, Erickson lost 1-2 to Madd, Vision 2020 edged out Safaricom 1-0, Consolidated Bank thumped Mtandao FC 3-1 while Shy Train battled to a scoreless draw with Frontier Marketing. In Division Two, Madaraka United braved a tough challenge from Astral Aviation ‘B’ to run away win a 2-1 win. Makadara had grabbed the lead via two goal hero Solomon Okeyo but it was short-lived as Aviation leveled matters five minutes later. Okeyo then grabbed the winner for the victors in the 56th minute. In other Division Two matches, Langata Sportive went down 0-3 to Afya Sacco, Mohammed Muigai beat Railway Wanderers 2-0, Huringham beat Sunfit Gangsters 3-2 while South B Mosque bagged maximum points after edging out Outlaws 1-0.
