One Muhammed Cando was on Monday, 11th July 2011 granted bail in the sum of 30 Dalasis with 2 Gambian sureties at the Brikama Magistrates Court presided over by Magistrate Hilary Abeke. The accused is charged with the offence of idle and disorderly act, contrary to Section 166 (d) of Criminal Code, Laws of The Gambia.
The particulars of the offence revealed that the accused on or about 25th June 2011 at around 15:30pm in Yarambamba, Kombo North District of West Coast Region, behaved himself in a manner purposely to cause a breach of peace by taking out his private part and calling one girl called Sarjo Beyai to come and answer to him, thereby commit an offence.
When the charge was read to the accused, he pleaded not guilty. The police prosecutor, Corporal 2259 Ceesay applied for an adjournment to call his witness and the accused was granted bail in the sum of 30 Dalasis with 2 Gambian sureties.
The case was adjourned to 20th July 2011.
