MPs will travel to South Africa to determine the safety of maize Kenya is planning to import from there.
Agriculture committee chairman John Mututho says they want to ensure the maize is fit for human consumption.
He insists that GMO food is unsafe adding that they will not allow the importation of harmful maize into Kenya.
