Speaker of the national Assembly Kenneth Marende maintains that MPs have been cheated in regard to payment of taxes.

He says he received three letters from the AG, KRA Commissioner General and Finance Minister Uhuru Kenyatta all assuring that sitting MPs would be exempted from paying taxes once the new constitution passes.

The speaker says he will make his ruling stating exactly that, if Mps table the matter before the floor of the House.
