The evidence in chief of the witness at the last adjourned date had created the impression that the Yutong bus was for the said company.
However, he cleared the air when Andy Appiah-Kubi, counsel for Amina, had asked whether the bus belonged to the company.
The witness did not name the company that owns the bus but explained that it is one of their alliance buses his employers normally call to load passengers when there is shortage of company buses.
Amina Mohammed, a 24-year-old woman, is being tried for allegedly causing fear and panic by alleging that there was a mass rape on a Bawku bound Yutong bus somewhere October last year.
Akudago, who was requested by the court to bring his social security contribution and income tax particulars, informed the court that his company does not pay his social security and that of other employees because they share what ever money they get for the day among themselves.
On the issue of income tax, the witness he did not know of what it meant.
The witness maintained that the Yutong driver, through a telephone, called to inform him about the robbery attack which, according to the driver, all occupants escaped any harm.
The witness also maintained that he was not representing the company but stressed that his job was to issue tickets and also give money to drivers.
When asked by Mr. Appiah Kubi whether the call from the driver was directed to him or the company, he answered that it was a personal call.
When also asked whether he has control over the Amina bus, the witness said no. He also indicated that he does not take complaints from people on behalf of the company.
The case has been adjourned to July 4, 2011 for further cross-examination.
Amina captured national attention following her statement on Adom FM, a Tema-based radio station that there was a mass rape of women on the Bawku-bound bus during a robbery attack at Kubiase.
The mother of three children claimed the armed robbers forced male passengers to have sex with their female counterparts, including a father who was supposedly forced to sleep with his 14-year-old daughter.
Amina, who is standing trial for causing fear and panic as well as deceit of public officer, has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is currently on a GH¢5,000 bail with a surety.
Meanwhile, all the seven witnesses called by the prosecution have indicated that indeed there was a robbery attack but they escaped narrowly.
