Players Continue to Sparkle in English League

Tanzanian cricketers who play in England have continued to steal shows as they triumph in the continuing Saracens Heart League.National team skipper Hamis Abdallah said yesterday from UK that they are in good health and performing well.”Thank God, all of us have had good individual performances in our respective teams and are in spiring inspire our teams’ officials,” said Abdallah.

The national team skipper alongside an inspirational bowler, Khalil Rehemtullah, last week enabled their Watford Town Club to beat Hanwell by six wickets.

Reports from England said that Hanwell tossed to bat to score 110 runs in 30 overs all out before the Watford Town fielding to make a successful chase in 112 runs.

“It was a good game for both of us because we managed to win,” said the towering Abdallah.

Rehemtullah, who was given a special gift in the recent Africa Division 2 T20 in South Africa for scoring a hat-trick, took six over’s with 24 runs with one wicket while Abdallah scored 34 runs with five over’s and one wicket. In bowling, Rehemtullah also took 23 runs while Abdallah had 29.

Another Tanzanian, Benson Mwita, who is making his cricketing debut in Europe, scored a half century with two wickets despite his team, Abbots Langley, losing to Radlett.Langley scored 214 in 45 overs before their opponents made a chase to emerge winners.
