Djibouti — The Djibouti republic today celebrated its 34th anniversary when it gained its independence from France.
Djibouti became an independent nation in the horn of African by June 27, 1977 after long term efforts and battles with the colonial rule of France.
Somali president, Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed was among those invited to attend the ceremony marking the independence of Djibouti.
The president of Djibouti republic Ismail Omar Guelleh addressed at the occasion, delivering congratulatory message to the people of Djibouti.
He also called for the leaders of Somalia to end internal political bickering and the Somali people should have their self-determination.
