Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas could finally make his dream return to Barcelona this transfer window after the London side omitted him from all promotional material regarding the club’s new away kit, released on Tuesday.
The Mirror reports that a deal could be reached as early as this weekend, with the club having already conceded that an improved bid – having rejected an initial approach from the Spanish and European champions last week – could see their skipper return to the Nou Camp.
The Gunners initally wanted between £40 million and £60m for their captain however they look to be willing to accept a bid around the £35m.
Meanwhile, Goal.com have revealed that Arsenal are edging closer to acquiring the services of Bolton defender Gary Cahill, despite north London rivals Tottenham‘s attempts to hijack a deal for the England international.
