The National Communication Authority (NCA) has in response to numerous calls from a section of consumers, extended the registration of mobile SIM cards for a period of three months (90 days).
The Authority says the period will be used for mop up.
The extension means that the Mobile Number Portability(NMP)service which requires the registration of every mobile sim user, will now begin on September 1, 2011.
