Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is targeting a trio of players to bolster his squad ahead of a new season with Champions League football assured.

According to the The Sun, Alessio Cerci, Stefan Savic and Sergio Romero are all being pinpointed by the Eastlands boss as realistic possibilities to bring to the club.

Cerci, 23, is an Italian midfielder currently plying his trade at Fiorentina in Serie A, while Savic could reportedly be purchased for £7 million from Serbian club Partizan Belgrade.

Romero, who started in goal for all of Argentina’s 2010 World Cup matches, is wanted as competition for Joe Hart, with Eastlands’ No.2 Shay Given understood to be heading to pastures new.

Mancini is heavily relying of two trusted agents to pull off the trio of deals for the Blues – Mino Raiola, who represents Romero, and Sergio Berti, whose clients are Cerci and Savic.

Both have assisted deals with him in the past, with Raiola playing a key role in Robinho’s £18m transfer to AC Milan.
