Wolves signing Jamie O’Hara is delighted with the players being linked with the club.

Dorus de Vries, formerly of Swansea City, is a fellow new signing at Molineux, with Jonny Evans and Paul Konchesky reportedly also on manager Mick McCarthy’s wish list.

O’Hara, 24, signed from Tottenham permanently after a successful loan spell with the club in the latter half of the season and cannot wait to help the side move forwards when the 2011-12 Premier League campaign begins.

“Am I encouraged by the players we are after? Definitely!” said O’Hara, reports the Birmingham Mail.

“Even at looking at what players they’ve been linked with, they’re top class players.

“I didn’t realise what following the club had until I came here,” he added.

“But now I’m involved with it, I know Wolves is a massive club. If we can bring in a couple of top quality players to strengthen the squad, it will add competition to a great squad we’ve got.

“I think next season is going to be big for us and seeing the fixtures, if we can get off to a flying start, we can really have a good go at it.”

Midfielder O’Hara played for Tottenham since 2005 and was loaned out to Chesterfield, Millwall and Portsmouth before his loan spell at Molineux from January this year.

He netted three times for the Midlands team in 14 appearances and was generally considered to be a success among fans at the club.
