Park Ji-Sung rubbishes exit talk to pledge allegiance to Manchester United

Park Ji-Sung has laid to rest any speculation surrounding his future by pledging his immediate future to Manchester United.

The 30-year-old midfielder had previously maintained that he might leave Old Trafford depending on circumstances, to ply his trade and finish his career elsewhere.

At the same time, the former South Korea international was also linked with moves to Spanish sides Atletico Madrid and Sevilla.

But now the ex-PSV Eindhoven man insists that he would like to remain at Old Trafford and help United win a record 20th league title.

“It would be honour for me to keep playing for Manchester United,” Park told reporters at a fan meeting at Manchester United Restaurant & Bar in Hong Kong.

“I have nothing to say about any transfer rumours – I just want to stay at Manchester United.

“As an Asian player, it’s honour to play for the biggest club in the world. I and other players want to achieve 20th league title for United.”

Park joined United in 2005, and has since made 177 appearances for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side.
