Luanda — The US embassy has recently donated to Angola USD medicines and diagnosis equipment estimated at USD 2.3 million, aimed for combating malaria.
According to a press note, which reached Angop on Thursday, the donation was given through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Centre for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC).
The document reads that the assistance will cover the treatment of malaria in the country’s 18 provinces during six months.
The press note adds that another donation is to come soon in 2012.
