Luanda — The social educator, Domingas Loureiro, exhorted on Wednesday the civil society to raise awareness of the families so as to better educate their children, and thus contribute to the country’s development.
Domingas Loureiro said so to Angop on Wednesday, on the sidelines of the 5th National Forum on Child.
She said that this issue has become urgent because some children still make houseworks and few practices harmful to their growth and development.
To reverse the situation, Domingas Loureiro thinks that media organs, schools, NGOs and other social agents should be sensitised and committed to the accomplishment of 11 commitments towards the children in various field.
The 5th National Forum on Children, going until Friday at National Assembly, was opened by the Angolan Vice-president, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos.
The forum was attended by provincial governors, ambassadors to Angola, representatives of civil society and UN agencies.
